Childcare and professionals 'in permanent process'

In the world of work, we value someone as "professional" when their performance and knowledge of the different tasks of a profession are carried out with some efficiency. In some fields, both training and certification are institutionally regulated. In others, it is only a relative and competitive issue depending on labor supply and demand.

It is curious how the RAE refers to our sector, that of the

"Childcare", such as "Raising and caring for the child during the first years of childhood". Are we really professionals of "childcare"? To meet the RAE definition, we should offer more of a service than a product. In "childcare" stores, no babies are raised. It is part of other sectors. 

So what is the profession of the sector? Product sellers?

To be sales professionals, we must know our clients (parents and future parents normally), the products and master the commercial techniques.

With this, are we meeting the expectations of our customers?

My opinion is that no, as a father, I do not need anyone to sell me anything, I am old enough to buy it for myself. If I limit myself to looking for information on a product, on the websites of the brands, I have it all and with some precision. So that,

Finding a sales professional may not be what you need when someone tells you that you are pregnant, what you need is a professional who guides me in the 'needs' of my future son. I need sleep professionals and not a crib or mattress for sale. I need food professionals and not only to sell me a bottle, a “pot” or a specific milk.

I need professionals of mobility, lactation, rest, stimulation, the rhythms of life of the parents, security in the car, etc.

In Baby Experience and Born To BE! We believe in this type of professional, in the same way that we accept with nonconformity to be imperfect professionals.

Our vocation to improve advice makes us see that knowledge can be infinite, forcing us to accept that we are and will be "professionals in process".

Each field has its own regulated training with its relevant research areas. We will not get to the bottom of everything, so, prioritizing the sector of the sale of childcare items, We consider in the first order that training where the life of a baby is most at risk: safety in the car. No other category of products means that choosing between one product or another entails truly vital risks such as with regard to safety in the car. A baby can sleep in his parents' bed or in his crib, his body supports him and does not trigger an irreversible problem. Instead our bodies are not "designed" to withstand sudden decelerations / accidents of 40.50 or 90 km / h, and less, our babies. With what seems important to us to delve deeply into this topic. 

Talking about car safety for babies in Spain is not talking about any specific brand, it is talking about some very great professionals who, marked by rigor and their capacity for disclosure, have spent years reporting against the odds on safety in opposite direction to the march.
