A little history

The Stokke brand was founded in 1932 in Norway as a furniture manufacturer. Its great success came from designer Peter Opsvik in 1972 with the launch of the Stokke Tripp Trapp, an evolutionary chair up to adulthood that perfectly adapted to the ergonomic evolution of the baby from 6 months. To this day, with slight variations, the Stokke Tripp Trapp remains the best-known and best-selling highchair in Europe.

When Opsvik created the Tripp Trapp, it revolutionized the world of high chairs with a creation that would allow children of any age to sit at the table in complete comfort and ergonomics.

After celebrating its 40th anniversary, the Stokke Tripp Trapp had achieved a timeless design, joining the icon category. However, the brand wanted to complement the proposal in 2014 by launching a high-chair with modern and modern design, further simplifying aesthetics and making it more friendly, integrated into today's decorations, without renouncing Stokke's philosophy that the child and its connection with the family, evolutionary use and quality. This is how the Stokke Steps was born, a high chair for babies from 6 months to children of about 10 years, with a very attractive design and integrated into our dining room.

Stokke Clikk, the high chair for new generations of parents

Today Stokke announces its next release, a new high chair for babies: the Stokke Clikk. But what does it offer again? Next, we detail the main aspects:

  • Simplification of purchase and configuration, all in one box. This model, unlike the Stokke Tripp Trapp or Stokke Steps, will present the product in a much simpler way for the consumer for its configuration and transport. The desired color is chosen and all the elements are integrated into a single package.
  • Easy mounting. The new Stokke Clikk high chair requires no tools and depending on the brand, it can be assembled in a minute; which, we will confirm later ... As soon as we have it in our hands!
  • Recommended for a high chair, the new Stokke Clikk allows a easy cleaning with dishwasher safe tray.
  • The Stokke Clikk also has a 5 point harness for added security
  • At the ergonomic level of the baby, it is important for a high chair that there is a foot support and that it can be adjustable to about 90 degrees from the knee. For this reason, the Stokke Clikk high chair maintains these brand values with the adjustable footrest and the correct support of the hip and trunk as the baby grows.
  • 4 colors available! With the usual beech wood legs of its sister highchairs, Stokke Clikk can customize the colors of the seat and footrest in Cloud Gray, Clover Green, Sunny Coral and White.
  • How complement, we can add a organic cotton cushion, sustainable and breathable in Gray

First impressions of the new Stokke Clikk high chair

Our first opinion on the new Stokke Clikk high chair is:

  • We love it aesthetically.
  • We think it is a very good first entry range for the Stokke brand in the high chair market up to 3 years.
  • It is still practical, it does not seem to us a substantial change compared to the Tripp Trapp or the Steps.
  • Focused on the relationship of internet sales, facilitating transportation, configuration and assembly.
  • We are still in love with the evolutionary concept of the Stokke Tripp Trapp in the first order and the Stokke Steps to a lesser extent, mainly for children from 3 to 7 years old where it is not easy for our children to stay correctly seated.

It's up to you to decide!
