At Baby Experience we work with brands like Clover Sleep care committed to prevention and correction of plagiocephaly, designing mattresses that reduce pressure; and committed to reduction of exogenous factors associated with Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), such as carbon dioxide dissipation, temperature regulation, or optimal firmness. However, today we will talk about an innovative model of mattress that adapts to cot cribs.

Mattress for cot cribs

Clover Sleep Care has created a mattress specially designed for practice of the co-sleeping and convertible into anti-tip mattress: your model S2 colecho, available in 57 × 117 cm mini-crib size, and for 60 × 120 and 70 × 140 cm cribs; high resilience foam with an organic core of soy and special plant derivatives for the prevention of allergies and skin problems; washable and with optimal breathability.

Two stages of use

But what makes this mattress model special are its two stages of use. On the one hand, the side bands or reinforcements can be modified to adapt the mattress to a first stage of sleeping, joining these bands on the same side. In a second stage, one can be placed on each side of the mattress to educate the child to sleep in the central part of the mattress.

The design of its core helps prevent plagiocephaly thanks to the pyramidal elements that give a balance between the firmness of the mattress and the sinking caused by the baby's weight and the continuous changes of the support points on its head, according to them, reducing pressure up to 50%. Their ventilation channels reduce re-inhalation of carbon dioxide and excess temperature transmission.

Colecho: benefits and how long?

The practice of co-sleeping is increasingly widespread thanks to the benefits it brings to both parents and babies: We all rest better, makes breastfeeding easier at night, reduces baby's stress, regulates sleep patterns, strengthens the bond ...

When asked "how long do you usually do it," our answer is always the same: it will depend on you and your baby. Taking into account that most mini-cribs are designed for babies up to 6 months old, we must understand that at this age our little one is unprepared to sleep alone.

It is for this reason that it is becoming more and more common to replace the 80 × 50 cm mini cradles with larger sleeping cradles, such as the 60 × 120 cm cradles. This is where the right choice of mattress comes in.

Clover Sleep care gives us the option to practice sleeping even in large cribs where the mattress will evolve with our child.
